We didn't organize these events, but we played a pivotal role in two of them, and we collaborated with fellow members of wtfmusic.org and all around great guys and interesting musicians.
Thanks to Jerry Gordon who organized one event at Common Cafe and another at an old bath house.
And thanks go Charles Billard who organized the yearly Takedao tunnel event.
First, some nice pictures of where we stayed in Osaka, in the beautiful, old style, cafe-filled Nakazaki town.

Smoldering Door is Jerry and Charles' band. Great stuff. Electronic laptop stuff, percussion, wind instruments, with a dancer
Gig Number 2: Septmber 18th. Takedao tunnel camping festival. In an abandoned train tunnel.
Our set consisted of drone, drum and bass duo improv, and conducting hand signals improv game.
This led into the maestro jam, a series of 5 minute or so pieces with a conductor, anyone free to join.
Our 3rd gig was at a bath house. Sento. This involved improvised games utilizing chance operations and Jerry's amazing spinner device. Each of us chose a number and groups were randomly chosen lottery style, as well as time allotment and group size. Some very cool players were there and the sound was nice and echoey.
Our last hurrah after eating mexican food with Jerry - walking for hours and miles around the city, drinking, then playing drone music on this bridge until dawn.
